In an area most profane and lustful in Tokyo, where premium per floor reigns supreme, the traditional cemetery is becoming a luxurious commodity in high demand; a new economic paradigm. With the aging population and decreasing youth, the need for a final resting place will only increase. Turning the traditional cemetery on its side and upside-down, we propose an ever-expanding and densifying columbarium in the heart of the city. Android robots continuously dig deeper into the Earth's crust; its pinnacle overwriting the depth record every moment. Deathscraper is not a memento mori, but a celebration of urban life.
